A refreshing homemade electrolyte drink bursting with natural flavors, ideal for hydrating after outdoor activities.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut water
- 1-2 teaspoons pure maple syrup (optional)
- 1/8-1/4 teaspoon unrefined mineral salt
- 1/4 cup lemon juice (from 1 lemon) or juice from 2 limes
- 2-3 cups ice cubes (for serving)
- 1/2 cup frozen unsweetened wild blueberries or 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 2 cups watermelon, chopped
- 1 cup cucumber, chopped
- 1 cup green apple, chopped
- 2 cups chopped honeydew
- 1/2 cup unsweetened apple cider
- Cinnamon and/or nutmeg (optional for sprinkling)
- Fresh apple slices for garnish
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients on the countertop, creating an inviting workspace.
- Blend all ingredients (except the ice) in a high-speed blender for about one minute until smooth.
- If you prefer traditional sweetness, add maple syrup to the blending mix.
- Pour the drink through a mini strainer over a glass filled with ice.
- Fill the glass to the top, then use a glass straw to stir gently.
- Enjoy immediately.
Notes
This drink can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours. Adjust sweetness to taste with fresh fruits available.
