Description
A refreshing and vibrant detox drink packed with nutrients from fresh greens and fruits, perfect for busy mornings.
Ingredients
- 1 large handful of fresh spinach, washed
- 1 medium apple, cored and roughly chopped
- 1 to 1.5 cups water
- Juice of half a lemon, or to taste
- Optional: small piece of fresh ginger for extra zing
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients: Place the washed spinach in the blender, core and chop the apple, and squeeze the lemon.
- Add ingredients to the blender: Place the apple, spinach, water, and lemon juice in the blender. Add fresh ginger if desired. Secure the lid.
- Blend until smooth: Start on low and gradually increase to high for 30 to 60 seconds. Check texture, and add water if too thick.
- Strain if desired: Pour through a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag if you want a smoother drink.
- Serve fresh: Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately. Garnish with a lemon slice or mint if desired.
- Store the drink: Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1-2 days.
Notes
For a colder drink, you can freeze apple slices ahead of time. Experiment with different greens and fruits to vary the flavor.
