Description

Ingredients

  • 2 fresh oranges, sliced
  • 10 dried cranberries
  • 3 stars of star anise
  • 1 tablespoon of cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • Optional: Fresh basil (for added brightness)


Instructions

  1. Cut up the oranges into slices, keeping the peel on for added flavor.
  2. Dehydrate the oranges completely using a food dehydrator or by baking them at a low temperature (around 200°F) until dried.
  3. Add the cranberries, star anise, orange slices, cloves, and cinnamon sticks into a jar or pot.
  4. Pour in about 2 cups of water and stir until well combined.
  5. Let it simmer on low heat for at least an hour, adding more water if necessary.

Notes

Try adding fresh ginger or herbs for flavor variations. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
