Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 3 cups Cooked White Rice
  • 1 can Condensed French Onion Soup
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Parsley


Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat with butter until no longer pink.
  2. Stir in onion powder and garlic powder and let them bloom.
  3. In a slow cooker, combine the browned beef, condensed French onion soup, and sour cream. Mix until creamy.
  4. Gently fold in the cooked rice.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours.
  6. Stir in half of the mozzarella and top with the remaining cheese. Optionally, broil for 4 to 6 minutes for a golden finish.
  7. Let sit for 10 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

Consider using day-old rice for better texture and adding Worcestershire sauce for extra flavor. Leftovers can be repurposed in stuffed peppers or mixed into sautéed vegetables.
