Description
A crunchy twist on chicken, coated in pretzel crumbs and served with a creamy mustard-cheddar sauce, perfect for busy weeknights and family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 1 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup mustard
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for baking
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and pat them dry.
- Set up a breading station: flour in one dish, beaten eggs in another, crushed pretzels in a third.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in egg, and coat with the crushed pretzels.
- Place the coated chicken on a baking sheet with space in between each piece.
- In a small bowl, mix mustard, cheddar, and milk to create the sauce. Stir until creamy.
- Drizzle olive oil over the chicken.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through, with juices running clear.
- Serve with the mustard-cheddar sauce on the side.
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil for a minute at the end. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
