Description
A quick and easy dessert that combines a creamy Nutella cheesecake center with a crisp chocolate shell, perfect for busy families.
Ingredients
- 250 grams (1 and 1/4 cup) cream cheese, room temperature
- 150 grams (1/2 cup) Nutella
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) sour cream
- 525 grams (3 and 1/2 cups) dark chocolate
Instructions
- Line a 12-hole muffin tray with cupcake liners.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Add Nutella and vanilla, and beat to combine.
- Add sour cream and mix until smooth.
- Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl, stirring every 30 seconds.
- Pour approximately 1-2 teaspoons of melted chocolate into each cupcake liner.
- Add a tablespoon of the Nutella cheesecake mixture to each cup.
- Cover the cheesecake mixture with more melted chocolate.
- Repeat until all cups are filled.
- Chill in the fridge for 2 hours or freeze for 30-45 minutes.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer until ready to serve.
Notes
For a softer shell, use chocolate labeled as couverture. Thinner shells can be achieved by using less chocolate when coating the liners.
