A comforting and easy weeknight dinner that combines tender spaghetti with a creamy sauce, shredded chicken, and melted cheese.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain and set aside. Toss with olive oil.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add shredded chicken and stir until heated through.
- Stir in Monterey Jack cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked spaghetti to the sauce; toss to combine.
- Transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
Notes
If the sauce seems thin, stir in a tablespoon of flour or extra cheese to thicken before baking.
