Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix together chopped cranberries and granulated sugar, then set aside.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and egg until smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the cranberry mixture gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the dish before slicing into bars.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
