  • 1 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix together chopped cranberries and granulated sugar, then set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and egg until smooth.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the cranberry mixture gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
