A delicious and easy recipe for Parmesan crusted chicken, reminiscent of a beloved restaurant dish, made perfect for busy families.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Serve hot and enjoy, optionally with lemon wedges or marinara sauce.
Notes
Use fresh basil for added flavor. Leftover chicken can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days.
