Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 cup Irish whiskey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Mashed potatoes or crusty bread for serving
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 6–7 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken and set aside on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.
- Carefully pour in the Irish whiskey and let it simmer for a couple of minutes to reduce slightly.
- Stir in the heavy cream, combine well, and let it thicken a bit.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it generously with the whiskey cream sauce.
- Serve hot over creamy mashed potatoes or with slices of crusty bread.
