Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cooking spray for air fryer


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix almond flour, coconut sugar, cinnamon, salt, and baking powder.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the egg, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms, adjusting with almond flour or water as needed.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Form the dough into small bites, about the size of a tablespoon.
  6. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the churro bites inside, leaving space between each.
  7. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown, shaking the basket halfway through.
  8. Dust with cinnamon and coconut sugar while warm, then serve.

Notes

Use fresh almond flour for the best texture. Keep in mind that these bites hold up well for a crowd and can be stored in an airtight container or frozen.
