A fun and creative twist on a classic grilled cheese, perfect for busy families and quick meals.
Ingredients
- 6 slices of bread
- 1 cup thinly shredded cheese (American works wonderfully)
- 6 thin slices of ham (optional)
- 2 tablespoons of butter
Instructions
- Trim the crust off the bread.
- Roll the bread flat with a rolling pin or your hands.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese generously on top.
- If using ham, place it on top of the cheese.
- Roll it up tightly, using toothpicks if needed.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
- Carefully place the rolled-up sandwiches in the pan and cook for 5 to 8 minutes, turning periodically.
- Remove from the skillet and cut in half if preferred.
- Serve right away and enjoy!
Notes
Feel free to add fresh basil or spinach for added flavor. Experiment with different cheeses and vegetables for variety.
