Description

A comforting casserole made with creamy layers of hash browns, cheese, and crispy onions that feels like home.


Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen diced hash browns
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the frozen diced hash browns, shredded cheese, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. In a skillet, heat oil and fry the sliced onions until golden and crispy.
  5. Spread the fried onions on top of the hash brown mixture.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
