Description

A playful and colorful take on classic deviled eggs, perfect for Valentine’s Day gatherings with family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red food coloring
  • 1 cup water (for coloring)
  • Fresh parsley or chives (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a medium pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, cover and let sit off heat for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Transfer eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes. Peel under running water, then cut in half lengthwise.
  3. For colored whites, mix 1 cup water with 2-4 drops of red food coloring. Submerge egg whites for 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mash yolks and mix in mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper until creamy.
  5. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture into the egg whites. Garnish with parsley or chives and optional heart-shaped toppings.
  6. Serve at room temperature or slightly chilled.

Notes

Store egg halves and filling separately in airtight containers for up to 48 hours. Serve cold or at room temperature for best flavor.
