A comforting weeknight casserole with chicken, broccoli, bacon, and cheese that’s easy to prepare and family-friendly.
Ingredients
- 5 cups broccoli florets
- 8 slices cooked turkey bacon, chopped
- 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella
- ½ cup shredded cheddar
- 1 cup ranch dressing
- ½ cup shredded cheddar (for topping)
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella (for topping)
- Butter (for greasing the baking dish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
- Steam or blanch the broccoli until just tender, then drain well and let it sit in the colander.
- Mix the chicken, broccoli, turkey bacon, garlic, mozzarella, cheddar, and ranch dressing in a large bowl until well combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the baking dish and sprinkle the top with additional cheddar and mozzarella.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until hot and bubbly, with golden edges on the cheese.
- Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm for best texture.
Notes
Use fresh broccoli for better flavor. You can swap turkey bacon for regular bacon if desired.
