Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, stirring constantly.
  3. Add sliced chicken breast to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in grated parmesan cheese until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Toss the cooked fettuccine in the sauce until well coated.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Use freshly grated parmesan for a smoother sauce. Substitute half-and-half for a lighter version.
