Ingredients
- 1 egg white
- 2 teaspoons water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups whole pecans
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with foil, spraying it with cooking spray.
- Use a hand mixer to beat the egg white and water until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in the vanilla until the mixture looks glossy and slightly thick.
- Toss the pecans in the egg white mixture until well coated with a thin layer.
- In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until even.
- Pour the sugar mixture over the pecans and mix until they are well coated.
- Transfer the pecans to the prepared baking sheet, spreading them in a single layer.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then stir and bake for another 12-15 minutes, watching for golden edges.
- Remove from oven and cool on aluminum foil to crisp up.
Notes
