Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and let it cool slightly.
  3. Stir in brown sugar and granulated sugar until well combined.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  8. In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup granulated sugar with 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the batter.
