Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter and let it cool slightly.
- Stir in brown sugar and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup granulated sugar with 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden, and a toothpick comes out clean.
