Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring they blend well before adding the next. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the creamed mixture. Stir until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between them.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until edges are golden brown and centers are soft.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. You can freeze them for up to three months.
