A comforting baked chicken dish with a creamy garlic herb sauce that’s perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet or grease a shallow baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Drizzle olive oil over the mixture and combine until it resembles damp sand.
- Pat chicken breasts dry, season with salt and pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast into breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure even coating.
- Place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through and golden brown.
- While chicken bakes, prepare the Garlic Herb Cream Sauce: sauté garlic in butter, then add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in thyme and lemon juice, simmer until thickened.
- Once chicken is done, let it rest before serving with the sauce drizzled on top.
Notes
Make a double batch of sauce for leftovers. The sauce can be stored in the fridge for up to three days.
