Description
A comforting blend of smoky blackened shrimp and creamy stroganoff sauce served over egg noodles.
Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons blackened seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, toss shrimp with blackened seasoning until fully coated.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté until onions become translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook until they are soft, stirring occasionally.
- Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, stirring gently to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it thicken for a few minutes.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and combine them with the sauce, stirring until everything is well mixed.
- Stir in the cooked egg noodles, ensuring they are coated with the rich sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting to your preference.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
