Description

A comforting blend of smoky blackened shrimp and creamy stroganoff sauce served over egg noodles.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons blackened seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss shrimp with blackened seasoning until fully coated.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté until onions become translucent, about 3 minutes.
  5. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until they are soft, stirring occasionally.
  6. Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, stirring gently to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it thicken for a few minutes.
  7. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and combine them with the sauce, stirring until everything is well mixed.
  8. Stir in the cooked egg noodles, ensuring they are coated with the rich sauce.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting to your preference.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra spice, consider adding cayenne pepper. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
