Description
A wonderfully sticky, tender, and forgiving dessert that combines chocolate cake with sweetened condensed milk and caramel for a delightfully indulgent treat.
Ingredients
- 1 box Devils Food cake mix (plus ingredients on box)
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 3/4 cup caramel syrup
- 1 (8 oz.) tub cool whip, thawed
- 2-3 Heath candy bars, crushed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13 cake pan.
- Prepare and bake cake mix according to package directions in the prepared pan.
- Remove cake from the oven and allow to cool, then poke holes in the cake with a fork.
- Pour sweetened condensed milk and caramel syrup evenly over the top of the cake, allowing it to soak in.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours.
- When ready to serve, spread cool whip over the cake and sprinkle with crushed Heath bars. Enjoy!
Notes
Use high-quality Devils Food mix for deeper chocolate flavor. Cool whip saves time; you can substitute with fresh whipped cream if desired. For added texture, leave larger bits of Heath bars.
