Delicious little doughnut holes filled with sweet apple goodness, perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup peeled and diced apples
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, combine the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop tablespoons of the dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
For best results, use fresh apples and ensure the oil reaches the proper temperature before frying.
