Description

Delicious little doughnut holes filled with sweet apple goodness, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup peeled and diced apples
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. In another bowl, combine the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Drop tablespoons of the dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh apples and ensure the oil reaches the proper temperature before frying.
