Description
Delicious and fun mini blooming onions made in an air fryer, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Ingredients
- 4 mini onions
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- Oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel the mini onions and trim the ends. Soak them in a mix of milk and egg for about 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Dredge the soaked onions in the flour mixture, dip them back into the egg wash, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Spray the onions with oil and place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Serve warm as a snack or appetizer.
